Winter Solstice

Here we are approaching the Capricorn season again and the celebration of the Winter Solstice. It is an exciting time to begin thinking of the new year ahead and begin making plans and setting goals in anticipation of brighter days to come as the light slowly begins to increase. 

This year in 2022 we enter into this time with a Balsamic Moon in Sagittarius beginning December 20th around 3:18 AM Universal Time till December 23rd around 10:18 U.T. when it becomes a New Moon in Capricorn.

As we celebrate the longest night of the year and reflect on the accomplishments and efforts put into action this past year I hope we can also be kind to ourselves for any missed marks, & things that didn't pan out. Remember we are all on our own journey to becoming who we choose to be and often that is a winding path that will not always make sense to anyone else who see's it.

The Balsamic Moon is a time of reflection, release, and rest. A great time for journaling, ritual bathing to release emotional garbage, physical purging of items that hold negative memories, ritual cleansing of your space, and sleep.

In relation with Sagittarius there could be a focus on philosophy, higher education, or long distance travel. A question we could ask ourselves is ; What is it in these areas that needs to be released? Do I still believe this idea? What is blocking me from .................?

The Solstices and Equinox's show how the natural order works. The Equinox is a time of balance but the Solstice is a time of counter balance. It is a time to focus on the peak expression of an energy be it solar or lunar. To me it is the expression of polarity. 

As we go into Capricorn season hopefully we have done the internal work the Balsamic Moon asks us to do so we will be ready to begin anew in this cardinal sign with the New Moon on the 23rd.

Capricorn energy is about creating structure, planning, and creating efficient systems. It is usually centered around your material resources like your career or the way you make money.

 It sounds like a great way to go with the flow of the cosmic energy is to start or refine a budget during this time. I know this doesn't ring your bell, but Saturn is the ruling planet at this time. Discipline and boundaries are this planets domain.

I find it's better to work with the prevailing energies than to work against the tide.

Perhaps it's time to think about a new career path and planning it out.
